Devlog 1.13

29 September 2025

Hi everyone! 👋

It’s time for another devlog! Over the past weeks, we’ve focused on general fixes, improvements, and some small additions to gameplay. We also prepared for the online test that took place on Saturday, September 27th, where multiple players jumped in together. Having many people playing at once helped us (and you, the testers!) uncover bugs we wouldn’t have found on our own.

Here’s what we’ve worked on recently:
   -  Fixed HUD and chat input: Enter now opens chat directly.
   -  Added an aiming target and updated projectiles to properly follow it.
   -  Added a melee skill.
   -  Improved vendor NPC: now tracks the player with his head and displays a name/tag.
   -  Added more mobs around the island.
   -  Added a trigger volume to move the ocean when entering the Catacomb (since it’s below sea level).
(During the test we found a bug: the trigger was running server-side instead of locally. This caused the ocean to disappear if players         died inside and respawned outside. Currently being fixed.)
   -  Iterated mob patrolling: mobs now wait longer before resuming patrol.
  -  Fixed mobs playing idle animations while attacking.
  -  Improved mob respawning so players no longer see mobs moving during the respawn process.
  -  Buffed the Goblin Leader with stronger stats for a more challenging fight.
  -  Fixed a server crash caused by spamming the roll.
  -  Fixed a bug where spamming projectiles caused them to disappear (only the animation would play).

What’s next?

For the coming weeks our focus will be on:
   -  Fixing bugs discovered during the online test.
  -  Improving mechanics, animations, and general movement based on test feedback.
  -  Beginning work on game progression systems: Adding XP and leveling
  -  Building the stats UI.
  -  Implementing enemy drops, loot pickup, and distribution.
  -  Continuing to improve mobs, NPC interactions, UI elements, and the world/landscaping.

Thanks again to everyone who tested, gave feedback, and continues to support us!
